The shell of the body you made

You said

“You’re just like me and he’s just like her”

Refusing to see

the individual standing outside

the shell of the body you made.

Still afraid of what will be

when the walls of history come breaking down

on the six of us-

Will you still be around?

Or leaves us two behind

because

we’re not like the rest of them?
