another lesson learned

I  lowered my walls and he

trampled my garden &

broke the fence

and didn’t even bother

repairing the damage

 

guess I should’ve lowered

my expectations instead.

A.P. Bastian is a survivor of loss and a befriender of grief. A native Brazilian, she moved to the United States in 1998 completely unfamiliar with the English language.
