It feels like it will never end,
this love we fell into and now
can’t seem to climb our way out.
Lately I’ve been thinking-
if love is the highest of all energies
can it really ever
spoil?
is it possible to love someone so much
that no matter where you go,
who you are with, or what you do
they’re always right there beside you?
a ghost of the past that feels more alive than
the living you spend time with.
I know I can’t live inside all my favorite memories
but if love is the highest of all energies
can it really just die
and fade away?
if love is the highest of all energies
does it really ever surrender
to the words “the end?”
If love is the highest of all energies
do you think it will ever let you
bury it and leave it
for dead?
